Meet your barber

Katelyn Sheather

Qualified barber & hairdresser

She believed she could, so she did.

Where it all began.

Nearing the end of high school, like most young people, Katelyn Sheather wasn’t sure what career path to take.

Katelyn was encouraged by family to take up hairdressing, and started an apprenticeship. Eventually, she realised the hairdressing trade just wasn’t for her.

But when Katelyn took up a barbering course, inspiration struck. She discovered a deep interest in the creative side of working with shorter hair.

Honing her craft.

Katelyn has dedicated the last 11 years to working as a stylist in salons and barbershops on the NSW Central Coast, as well as acting as a respected mentor to other emerging stylists.

Katelyn has honed her craft through hands-on experience, hard work and determination; and her love for barbering is stronger than ever.

A new adventure.

In July 2023, started up her own business at Blue Bay working for herself.

Katelyn believes barbering is a process of self-transformation, and that barbers have the power to enhance their clients’ confidence through grooming and listening to their challenges.

Smashing stereotypes.

A strong woman behind the chair in a male-dominated industry, Katelyn is passionate about driving a sense of community and belonging through her business and wants her barbershop to be a safe and inclusive space for all.

“My clients are my walking billboard. I’m so particular with your hair because I’m passionate about my work, and I want you to look and feel the best you possibly can.”
